What exactly is a freedom based coaching business?

A freedom based coaching business is a coaching business that doesn’t suck all your time and energy from you.

 

You aren’t working around the clock trying to keep your coaching business a float - you’re able to book clients, work with clients and get them amazing results because you’re focussed on leveraging systems and structures that save you a whole lot of time.

 

 

 

What does building a booked out coaching business look like?

You have consistent clients coming in until you book the desired number of clients into your business.

This allows you to focus on doing what you love: work with clients and get paid well to do it.

 

After building a booked out coaching business you:

  • Don’t worry about where your coaching clients are coming from,
  • You spend time actually living instead of working around the clock: time with family, taking vacations and sleeping in (yes!)
  • You have the income to support yourself and then some
  • You’re proud of your business - it’s a real business, you’re the boss and you have the bank statements to prove it.

Here’s the most important thing you want to focus on - your TIME is your most valuable resource when building your freedom based business. Anything you can do to save you time and get you big results is a BIG WIN.

 

Let’s get to what you actually need to have in place to build your booked out freedom based coaching business.

 

Element No. 1 - An automated hands off targeted traffic source

 

Spending time trying to get in front of new potential clients is one of the biggest time sucks when building a coaching business.

 

Posting constantly on social media,

Sending messages

Scouring the internet hoping to come across a potential client?

 

Takes up more time than you could realise.

 

What you need a source of high quality traffic that is more likely to convert into paying clients.

 

Some examples are:

Blog Traffic utilizing SMO (social media optimization) my favorite of which is pinterest

Paid Traffic :: my favorite of course is Facebook Ads

Smart Social Media Strategies: Growing your Instagram Following is a great example and is becoming widely popular and effective;

Element No.2 - Perfecting your Packages/ Offers

What exactly are you going to sell?

What will make it an easy yes for your potential clients?

 

To actually get paying clients you need to have something to offer to them, and that’s where your packages and offers come into play.

 

What will you offer for sale?

What will make it the perfect choice?

How will you position your offer/ package?

 

Element No. 3 - A constant hub of potential clients

 

The best way to ditch the cycle of feast of famine: feast (clients in), famine (searching for more clients feverishly) is to always have a hub of potential clients on deck.

 

How do you do this?

 

Build your list and community consistently.

 

Your list is yours, a “list” of email addresses you keep in an autoresponder like convertkit and communicate with regularly so you build know like and trust faster and get them to the point where they’re ready to work with you!

 

Building community can happen in several ways. It’s no secret my favorite strategy to build community is by utilizing Facebook Groups.

 

Some other ways that you can build comunity is by choosing a specific platform where you are present and show up as “human” consistently.

Your blog.

A YouTube Channel.

Twitter Chat.

Instagram Account.

 

These are some examples of ways to build your community.

 

Because your goal is to have 10 - 20 clients max at any one time you don’t need a huge following just a targeted following and that’s where your marketing and sales funnel comes in.

 

Element No. 4  - Your Sales Funnel

 

I mentioned list building above.

Luckily for you, you don’t need a huge list just a targeted list, and this is where your funnel comes in.

 

With your funnel you need to get clear on the specific action you want your potential clients to take!

 

First off you get potential clients in (by building your list) and then  paying clients out at the end (by hosting sales calls or making offers) all in hands free mode.

 

This is exactly how you can work a whole lot smarter, save your time and automate the majority of you client acquisition process.

 

 

Element No. 5 - Master your Sales Process

You’ve probably heard a whole lot about booking sales calls and converting clients with sales calls but you’re probably not hearing a whole lot about what you should do before you book sales calls and even after you’ve had a sales call so you secure more paying clients.

 

Before you book sales calls you want to ensure that you’re getting high quality potential clients on the phone who are more likely to say YES and buy your services.

 

You do this by:

  • Creating the right kind of content. Content that positions and converts.
  • By setting up a discovery call booking process that weeds out the wrong candidates.
  • Having a proven step by step sales call structure that converts
  • Creating a client intake process that eliminates the possibility of clients falling through the cracks and gets more paying clients booked with you. 

 

Element No. 6 - Systems and Structures that support your “Booked Out Coaching Business”

This is the key to avoiding getting burnt out working with clients. Have systems you can put in place to make client calls and following up and delivering to your clients a cinch.

 

Structure your business to eliminate overwhelm and establish must have boundaries.

 

Something as simple as having a policy in place that tells clients how soon you respond to emails and how often is a huge life saver and also protects your time and builds boundaries with your clients.

 

Determining beforehand how and where you will communicate with clients.

Will they have your phone number?

Will they communicate via social media?

 

These are just a few examples of some of the systems and structures you can implement sooner rather than later.
